Layne’s Chicken Fingers is continuing its growth in the Greater Houston area with an opening in Rosenberg. Franchisee, Masroor Fatany, signed an exclusivity deal with the fast-food chain back in 2021 and has since opened seven locations. Fatany shared that he’s embarking on opening a ninth Layne’s Chicken Fingers in the region that will live at 28225 Southwest Fwy.

“We thought that this was what the community was missing, a great chicken-finger product,” Fatany told What Now Houston in an interview about the opening.

The new Layne’s Chicken Fingers will open its doors in good company. The chicken strip joint is set to open near a Whataburger, Starbucks, and Panda Express.

One thing that sets the new addition apart is the bedrock of the brand: the chicken fingers.

“Our tenders are super juicy, they’re packed with flavor, especially the spicy, and it’s really our differentiator,” Fatany said.

“It’s what’s creating a lot of repeat customers and is allowing us to grow. Our growth is really a testament to our product.”

Fatany first joined the Layne’s Chicken Fingers family in 2021, opening his first location in Katy. That is right around the time when the fried chicken brand started franchising.  Layne’s Chicken Fingers’ CEO, Garrett Reed, shared with us that they’ve sold almost 400 locations and nearly 50 are currently under construction.

“So we’re just getting started,” Reed said.

This month, Fatany will open the eighth Layne’s Chicken Fingers in the Greater Houston area in Missouri City, and he’s not stopping there; there are plans to open more locations in 2026.

All Layne’s Chicken Fingers locations have cooked up and dished out the same simple yet mouth-watering menu since the brand first hatched in 1994, as the website details. Of course, the chicken fingers are the bedrock of this hen house. Customers can get them in a sandwich, in a wrap, or in a box meal on its own. Layne’s Chicken Fingers come spicy or original with a selection of six different sauce options to pair them with.

“It’s good for sure,” Reed said

But there’s more than chicken at the Layne’s Chicken Fingers, which also serves grilled cheese sandwiches and cravable milkshakes.

Beyond the food, Fatany shares that he hopes to bring value to the Roseberg community in more ways than one. The restaurateur embeds the Layne’s Chicken Fingers name in the community, working with the local schools and first responders. He also wants to hire community members!

As construction enters its last fast, interested residents can check out this website to apply for a job at the new Layne’s Chicken Fingers that’s set to come to Rosenberg. Rosenberg’s Layne’s Chicken Fingers is expected to open at 28225 Southwest Fwy before the end of the year.
