PastaPhony, a California-based quick-service pasta restaurant specializing in build-your-own bowls and house-made sauces, is getting ready to open a new location in Carlsbad at 5812 Van Allen Way, Suite 125.
The company’s fifth location is set to move into the former home of Little Zeus Greek Cuisine at the Island at Carlsbad, according to permit filings submitted to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. While an exact opening date has not been announced, customers can expect PastaPhony’s signature customizable pasta bowls, fresh salads, cheesy garlic bread, and Italian desserts. The Carlsbad location will bring the brand’s casual, fast-service dining concept to the coastal community.
PastaPhony also has locations in Glendora, Tustin, Stanton, and Fullerton. Each restaurant emphasizes quick-service convenience while providing handcrafted pasta, fresh ingredients, and mix-and-match options for sauces, proteins, and toppings. The brand has built a following for its approachable concept, blending comfort food with playful customization.
The Island at Carlsbad location represents PastaPhony’s first expansion into San Diego County. Positioned among a mix of retail, dining, and service tenants, the new store will cater to both residents and visitors exploring the shopping center. The company’s expansion reflects its ongoing effort to grow in high-traffic, community-oriented locations.
The menu at PastaPhony includes signature dishes such as Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo, Spaghetti Chicken Parmesan, Penne Arrabbiata, and Fettuccine Truffle Mushroom Cream. Guests can also enjoy side options like garlic breadsticks, Italian salads, and desserts, including tiramisu, cannoli, and Nutella Bombs. Beverages include soft drinks, bottled water, and sparkling options.
PastaPhony is operated by Concept Restaurants LLC and has maintained consistent quality and menu standards across all its locations.
