KFresh Afro-Caribbean Supermarket, a specialty grocery store focused on African and Caribbean products, is preparing to launch a takeout service in Nepean at 2090 Robertson Road, Unit J.
The new takeout counter will open early next month, pending final city inspection, according to a representative from the company. The market, owned by Emmanuel and Akosua Fenning, currently offers a wide range of grocery items, including fresh tropical produce, exotic fruits, traditional spices, Caribbean and African pantry staples, and specialty items difficult to find elsewhere. Customers can expect the same focus on authentic flavors in the upcoming takeout menu.
KFresh opened its Nepean location as a one-stop shop for Afro-Caribbean ingredients, providing both convenience and quality for home cooks. The market’s layout allows for easy browsing of fresh produce, packaged goods, and specialty items, making it a hub for customers seeking authentic ingredients for dishes like jollof rice, curry goat, and other regional favorites.
The expansion into takeout reflects the growing demand for ready-to-eat meals featuring African and Caribbean flavors. The menu will showcase classic dishes prepared with the same quality ingredients found in the grocery section, bridging the gap between shopping for ingredients and enjoying a freshly made meal.
In addition to its grocery offerings, KFresh’s takeout will highlight signature dishes inspired by traditional recipes, including seasoned meats, rice dishes, and flavorful sides. Customers will be able to grab meals to enjoy at home or on the go, complementing the existing shopping experience.
This expansion solidifies KFresh’s role as a cultural and culinary destination in Nepean, combining authentic groceries with convenient takeout for the local community. The store’s knowledgeable staff aims to make both shopping and dining accessible, enjoyable, and reflective of authentic Afro-Caribbean flavors.
