Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is set to open a new eatery at 7250 Hwy 6 N in early 2026. According to a recent state filing, construction on the new Fuzzy’s Taco Shop just started and is expected to wrap up by the beginning of the year.
Nazarian Global Enterprises (NGE) is the franchisee group behind the opening, which shared last year the plans to open 25 new restaurants in the Greater Houston area. NGE is run by a father-son team, Hnreck Nazarian, Miro Nazarian, and Andrew Nazarian. What Now Houston briefly spoke with father, Hnreck, about the next Fuzzy’s Taco Shop set to hit the Houston Market. However, he didn’t share many details but did confirm the opening.
Known for its tacos and margaritas, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop has been on an upward trajectory since it opened in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2003, according to its website. Paul Willis and Chef Steve Mitchell led the charge there before selling the restaurant to brothers Chuck and Alan Bush in 2003. The restaurateur duo quickly expanded through franchising the Fuzzy’s Taco Shop brand. Once the chain reached a hundred locations in 2016, the concept and its far-reaching shops were partially sold to NRD Capital Management. In 2022, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop was acquired by Dine Brands Global, and the brand continued to expand into many territories throughout the country.
Texas has the highest number of Fuzzy’s Taco Shop restaurants in the country, with nearly 70 cooking up and dishing out tacos, and that number is continuing to grow.
Offering a multitude of Mexican-inspired dishes like tacos, enchiladas, nachos, quesadillas, salads, burritos, and bowls, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop continues to keep customers coming back with its bold flavors and sweet vibes. Fuzzy’s is also one of the few taqueria eateries to offer breakfast all day.
While everything on the menu listed on its website may not be offered at each location, the new Fuzzy’s Taco Shop set to open at 7250 Hwy 6 N in early 2026 is also expected to have margaritas.
