Founded by Jeff and Danielle Perera in Central Florida in 2019, Jeff’s Bagel Run has been growing steadily, bringing its bagels throughout Florida, as well as to new markets in Texas, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

The Pereras founded the chain when they “found themselves longing for the authentic New York-style bagels that Danielle grew up enjoying,” the Jeff’s Bagel Run website says. “Dissatisfied with the options available, they decided to take matters into their own hands.”

The result is a network of 36 bagel shops (and counting). At each, you’ll find selection of scratch-made bagels in varieties like Asiago Everything, Cacio E Pepe, Rosemary Salt, and Cinnamon Sugar, and they can be topped with spread flavors like Banana Pudding, Cake Batter, Cannoli, and Chive & Onion.

And the big news is, Jeff’s Bagel Run is now headed to the Jacksonville market. Two multi-unit deals have been signed: one with Former Taco Bell executive Shane Sizemore, of Moresize Enterprises LLC, which, according to a press release, includes four locations, and one with SNP JAX, which includes three locations.

“What excites us most is that Jacksonville residents value food that’s made fresh and served with intention,” a representative told What Now on Friday. “Our bagels are baked from scratch throughout the day, and that level of care really resonates in a market that appreciates quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality. We’re also proud that this expansion will create meaningful local jobs and give Jacksonville residents places that feel familiar quickly, neighborhood bagel shops where people know your order, your kids’ names, and your routine. That’s how we’ve grown everywhere else, and we’re excited to bring that same energy to Jacksonville!”
