Better Buzz Coffee Company may be moving forward with a new Stanton location, according to records. While the brand has not received the green light, the Orange County Health Care Agency received plans for a possible coffee shop at 11961 Beach Blvd.
Plan review documents were filed last week for a new-construction restaurant project; they have been marked as “unable to approve”. It lists the property as being between 2,000 and 6,000 square feet.
Real estate records show the building previously operated as a Carl’s Jr, and has a drive-thru and 25 dedicated parking spaces. CBRE is listed as the company handling leasing efforts, and the site has a 10-year lease.
Founded in 2002, Better Buzz Coffee is a So-Cal-born small-batch coffee roaster that started in San Diego and has grown into one of the region’s top local chains. The menu varies by location but typically includes fresh-brewed coffee, handcrafted lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and açaí bowls.
The publication was unable to reach Better Buzz for comment or further details about the Stanton plans before going to press.
