While the burger has long been the undisputed king of fast-casual dining, chicken wings have been giving it a real run for its money. The delectable treat has proven enormously popular and many concepts have risen to feed diners’ demand for the dish. Luckily for Memphis locals eager for a fresh variation on that old favorite, a new restaurant specializing in wings is making its way to the area. Al’s Wings and Things is working towards opening a fresh Memphis location.
Al’s Wings and Things is opening its new location-the third for owner Albert Thomas-at 3203 Coleman Road. Thomas was kind enough to confirm the storefront with What Now Memphis, establishing that its joining another Al’s location in Memphis and one in Horn Lake, Mississippi on his roster.
The paperwork for a certificate of occupancy filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of December 18 shows that Al’s will have a dedicated 1,440 square feet in which to serve up both its wings and its things.
Al’s Wings and Things promises to become an absolute staple for Memphis wing enthusiasts. The restaurant serves up delicious, unpretentious comfort food at a reasonable price and with a side of great customer service. While of course the restaurant delivers great chicken wings, fans also love Al’s oxtail.
While there is not yet an opening date for Al’s second Memphis location, What Now Memphis will be following the restaurant’s progress and will update readers as details become available.
