Strategic Hospitality and Andrew Sohr of Happy Fat Boy Hospitality are taking over longstanding Dalts American Grill, which recently announced its closure.

Dalts, located at 38 White Bridge Rd, opened in 1980. Though details regarding the reopening remain scarce, the spot is expected to retain the Dalts legacy.

Brothers Benjamin and Max Goldberg founded Strategic Hospitality in 2006. Acclaimed chef Josh Habiger later joined as a partner. The hospitality group has a variety of local concepts in its portfolio, including Bastion, The Catbird Seat, Henrietta Red, The Patterson House and Kisser. They are also working on a new concept, Sally’s Stay Awhile, that is heading to the Smokin’ Thighs space.

Sohr and Happy Fat Boy Hospitality are behind Bahamas-based locations Coconut Club and The Yellow Bell Harbourside Inn.

An opening timeline is still forthcoming.
