Memphis-area shower singers, get ready to show off your pipes in a fun and private environment. The Studio Karaoke Restaurant & Bar, Memphis’s first and only private suite karaoke bar, will be holding its grand opening next month.

The Studio will be welcoming visitors to sing their hearts out at 3460 Plaza Avenue. Paperwork filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development shows that the entertainment venue will occupy 1,850 square feet, with an occupant load of 99.

The Studio Karaoke will be holding its grand opening in January, though a precise date has not yet been announced. Owner Deidre Ellis was kind enough to confirm with What Now Memphis that the concept is currently in soft opening mode; she offers this guidance for Memphis residents eager to check out the area’s next great night out: “For booking information during soft launch guests can call or text us at 901-800-9417 and stay tuned for updates by subscribing on our website at www.theStudiokaraoke.com.”

Ellis adds that The Studio has applied for its beer permit and liquor license, and that once those approvals go through she will announce the grand opening date. Future regulars have a great deal to look forward to; Ellis states: “We have 5 private suites for karaoke where guests can also order food and beverages delivered to their suite. The suites can hold groups of 2 to 20, but we also offer venue buyouts and catering options for larger groups.”

The Studio Karaoke promises to become an essential part of the canvas of Memphis’s artistic, social, and dining communities. Ellis sums up her aspirations for the concept succinctly but beautifully, saying: “We’re focused on joy-filled experiences for celebrations of any kind and we welcome all ages until 9pm. Overall, we’re really excited to bring the concept to Memphis with some special Memphis flavor.”
