Plans for another new venture from the Truly Pizza team have been unveiled, with records filed indicating a bagel concept is in the works. A shop called Truly Bagels is slated for 31729 Coast Highway in south Laguna Beach, OC Health plan review documents show.
The business filed plans for a new construction restaurant under 2,000 square feet in November; those have since been marked as “unable to approve. No other updates have been listed, but resubmission will be required before anything can move forward.
Business records show the registered agent for Truly Bagels LLC is listed as Donna Baldwin, the local hospitality entrepreneur who co-owns Dana Point’s chic spot Truly Pizza. That brand is growing as well, with a Laguna store set to open next week and a Venice Beach outpost under development.
In addition to this new foray into bagels, her team also recently announced it will branch off to start a gelato spinoff company. Last month, What Now OC covered the news that Truly Gelateria will debut in Dana Point near the flagship Truly Pizza.
