A new restaurant concept called The Rascally Rabbit is opening in Cripple Creek, liquor records have revealed. A rebrand of the Gold Camp Cafe, it comes from the same owner and in the same space (329 E. Bennett Ave.), offering a mix of old and new.

City records list Gold Camp Café LLC, from Jeff Hellner, as the entity behind the new venture. It received its liquor license last month to operate with full alcohol service, approved unanimously by the council members.

The Rascally Rabbit will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and will have a pool table for entertainment. There will be a different menu, but the same coffee that Gold Camp Cafe served. Right now, the business is looking to hire line cooks, as shared on Facebook.

In addition to The Rascally Rabbit, Hellner also operates The Mercantile next door; The District Kitchen & Saloon, which is just a few doors down; and 20 Mile Tap House in Parker.
