Metro Atlanta is set to welcome five new restaurant concepts this year. Announced last week, the lineup ranges from sushi destinations to new ice cream spots.

New Atlanta Restaurant Openings Revealed Last Week

Last week, WhatNow highlighted five new upcoming restaurant concepts in the metro Atlanta area. The list includes a mix of new concepts, returning local favorites, and expanding brands. Here’s the list of the upcoming concepts:

NoriFish

NoriFish is expanding with a new location at Ponce City Market. Sushi chef Sean Park and restaurateur Justin Lim are behind the new Central Food Hall outpost. The location is expected to open in spring 2026 and will feature fish flown from the Toyosu Fish Market in Japan.

The menu includes the restaurant’s signature sushi rolls, nigiri, premium seafood, and more. The restaurant will also feature a beverage program crafted by Atlanta mixologist and certified sake advisor Hendry Kurniawan. Know more about the opening here.

Okiboru

Ponce City Market is also welcoming Okiboru, a sister concept to NoriFish. The concept is a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand award winner. The restaurant is set to open in spring 2026, expanding its footprint in the city.

The restaurant is known for its traditional ramen and tsukemen offerings, featuring house-made noodles. The beverage program will offer cocktails, sake, lagers, craft beers, and nonalcoholic options. Learn more about the opening here.

EATS

After closing following a three-decade run, EATS is returning under the ownership of Wild Heaven Beer. The restaurant will arrive at 1010 White St. SW, bringing back a local favorite. The restaurant is slated to open in early March, according to owner Bob Hatcher.

The restaurant will bring back its beloved jerk chicken, pasta, and other iconic menu items. The restaurant’s legacy will be preserved while introducing a refreshed concept to Atlanta. Know more about the opening here.

Chastain Creamery

Buckhead is soon to get a new ice cream spot Chastain Creamery is arriving. The shop aims to serve as a neighborhood gathering spot in Buckhead. Located at 164 West Wieuca Road NE, the spot will open on January 19.

The store will offer more than 36 flavors of premium handcrafted ice cream. The menu will also include dairy-free and sugar-free options. Learn more about the opening here.

Ike’s Cafe and Grill

Ike’s Cafe and Grill is arriving in Edgewood with irresistible West African flavors. The space blends modern design with authentic African decor. The 10,767-square-foot restaurant is expected to open in July 2026.

The menu features African soul food options, including kelewele, peppered stockfish, ogbono soup, and fried chicken wings. A beverage program featuring cocktails infused with African herbs and spices will elevate the experience. Know more about the opening here.
