A new restaurant is preparing to debut in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood.
John Kochendorfer will open Kochendorfer’s at 4910 Leary Ave., occupying a 2,350-square-foot space.
The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board recently approved the restaurant’s liquor license, according to business filings.
The dining room is lined with windows bringing in natural light, with warm brown tones throughout the chairs and wood tabletops. Potted plants add a simple touch of greenery to the space, according to an Instagram post.

While details about Kochendorfer’s remain limited, the menu features kebab burritos, frankfurter rolls, sausage rolls, German goulash and sauerkraut, hinting at a German-inspired concept.
An official opening date has not been announced, but a recent post teases Kochendorfer’s is “Coming Soon!!!!” Follow along on Instagram for updates.
