The restaurant announced its closure in a social media post, citing the expiration of its lease as the reason.

“Our final service is expected to be Saturday, May 30, 2026, bringing us to the end of our lease and our time here in Ballard,” said the team behind the restaurant.

Operated by Chef Shaun McCrain and his team, the restaurant offers a creative menu that combines classical French techniques with modern flair.

Some of the popular items on the menu include Dungeness Crab Salad, Rack of Lamb, and Pan-Seared Halibut.

The restaurant will maintain its Takeaway Supper program, stating that it will be available on the last Sunday of each month, with ordering opening the week before. In addition, the restaurant plans to host a series of guest chef collaborations and wine-focused dining events. As Copine slowly winds down its business in Ballard, it plans to focus on improving the dining experience for its loyal customers.
