Zukku-San, the elevated sushi restaurant by Ferdian Jap and chef Gia Tran, is opening a location in Orlando.
The restaurant will open a second restaurant at Pointe Orlando, a dining, retail, and entertainment complex that calls itself, “playtime for grownups, with or without the kids”. The restaurant will open at 9101 International Drive by March 2026, according to its sister Lutz/Wesley Chapel location. The restaurateurs also own sushi bar Zukku and Ato, a restaurant specializing in fresh poke bowls and sushi burritos.
Zukku means “canvas” in Japanese, with “san” being a term of respect. The menu at Zukku-San treats food as art. The decor is inspired by water and koi, and a selection of unique rolls is a high point of dining there. Examples include the Lobster Masterpiece that incorporates a fried whole lobster tail into the roll alongside spicy tuna, crab mix, asparagus, and avocado; and the Zukku Roll with tempura shrimp, cucumber, crab mix, salmon, lemon slices, and spicy mayo. The restaurant also offers classic rolls, hand rolls, and even a kids’ menu for the littlest culinarians.
When it opens, Zukku-San will join other high profile restaurants such as the Palm Tree Club, The capital Grille, Taffer’s Tavern, Taverna Opa, and The Hampton Social.
