There is a new venue on the way to 512 West 42nd St., according to recent community board filings.
Filed paperwork indicates that the concept will consist of several elements. It will roll out a theater space in the spring or early fall that will offer theatrical performances. This space will open as renovations continue at the front of the venue. In 2027, the space will unveil an upscale private events space for corporate galas, fundraisers, weddings and more, as well as a restaurant-lounge area at the front. It will offer an a la carte food and beverage menu for guests of performances and the public.
The proposed menu includes appetizers and a la carte small plates such as mini crab cakes, spring rolls and beef short rib crostini. There will also be platters such as artisan cheese and charcuterie, flatbreads and sliders, as well as prix fixe meal options. The beverage program will feature beer, wine and cocktails.
Plans call for a bar area with 11 tables and 50 seats, along with a 15-seat bar. The lounge area will have 19 tables with 100 seats. There will be 200 seats in the theater space, and there will also be a multipurpose basement area.
The proposed hours of operation are 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 4 a.m. Friday through Saturday and 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday.
