Abbatiello Group, the restaurant brand behind Jack Le Coq and other casual dining concepts, is planning seven new restaurants across the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region over the next 18 months.

Upcoming franchises include two L’Oeufrier locations in Jonquière and Chicoutimi, both expected to open in Fall 2026, according to Informe Affaires. The Chicoutimi L’Oeufrier will occupy a new building on Talbot Boulevard between Mode Choc and Metro. Crèmerie Chez Mamie is set to open in Spring 2026 at a commercial complex in Chicoutimi, alongside Le Stade restaurant-bar. Topla! will launch locations in Jonquière, across from the hospital, and in Alma, also in Spring 2026. A second Jack Le Coq is planned for Alma, with an opening date to be confirmed.

The first Abbatiello Group restaurant, Jack Le Coq, opened recently at 1719 Talbot Boulevard in the MCJR Building in Chicoutimi. The nearly 4,000-square-foot restaurant offers dine-in, takeout, delivery, and drive-thru service, with seating for roughly 50 people. André Thibeault manages day-to-day operations, and the opening created 35 jobs. Customers can expect Jack Le Coq’s signature menu of sandwiches, fries, and specialty items.

Franchisees at the Jack Le Coq opening include David Barrette, Raphaël Côté, Dany Gagnon, Jean-Samuel Allard, André Thibault, Maxime Forgues, Keven Moisan, and William Allard. None of the investor groups had prior restaurant experience. Renovation work was handled by shareholder Toiture d’ici, and kitchen equipment was supplied by shareholder Eugène Allard. Financial investment amounts were not disclosed.

Menu offerings will vary by brand, but focus on approachable, casual dining. Jack Le Coq emphasizes generous portions, while L’Oeufrier and Crèmerie Chez Mamie will focus on breakfast and desserts. This expansion will be an excellent landing space for Abbatiello Group, strengthening its regional presence and introducing new dining options across Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.
