Although the beloved wine bar Effervescence closed in August, two of its top kitchen talents are preparing to revive the space at 1036 N Rampart St. with an upscale concept called The Crustacean Club. Married couple Brenna Sanders and Evan Ingram were chefs at Effervescence since its opening and are behind the new concept. According to NOLA.com, the new restaurant will highlight Gulf seafood with upscale preparations. Ingram’s Instagram profile showcases some of his past work along these lines, with dishes like a refined, clever “Softshell Crab Sardou” and a “Gulf Coast Fritto Misto” made with local shrimp.

An intriguing Join the Club section on the official website suggests an emphasis on building a loyal community, potentially offering exclusive perks to club members. Clearly, The Crustacean Club is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated upscale restaurant openings in the city. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more details.
