Ben & Florentine, a Canada-based breakfast and brunch restaurant chain, is preparing to open a new location in Contrecœur, within the Cité 3000 commercial area.
Jean-Philippe Morin announced the company’s upcoming restaurant during a local event attended by Contrecœur Mayor Maud Allaire, city councillors, members of the business district, project partners, and Sophie Gauthier, building manager at Cité 3000, who was representing the Grilli Samuel Group, according to Les2Rives. While an exact opening date has not yet been confirmed, the restaurant is scheduled to open in the coming months. The new location will span approximately 3,019 square feet and will include a side terrace.
The restaurant will be situated within Cité 3000, a growing commercial hub in Contrecœur that continues to attract a mix of national and service-oriented brands. Existing businesses at the site include McDonald’s, Sushi Shop, Starbucks, Boustan, Canac, Maxi, Tecnic Automobile, Pétroles Maurice, and Pitou Minou & Compagnons. Additional business announcements are expected as the development continues to expand. This will be an excellent landing space for Ben & Florentine, given the area’s mix of retail, dining, and everyday services.
Founded in 2009, Ben & Florentine has grown into a well-established breakfast-and-brunch concept across Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba. The brand opened its first location in Vaudreuil-Dorion and has since expanded steadily, reaching milestones including its 25th restaurant in Mauricie and its first location in Manitoba, in Winnipeg. The company has positioned itself as a consistent presence in the Canadian breakfast market.
The menu centers on classic breakfast and brunch dishes, offering a broad range of options. Customers can expect eggs Benedict, omelets, crepes, pancakes, waffles, French toast, and old-fashioned skillets, along with healthier selections and smaller portions. The restaurant also offers sandwiches, burgers, poutines, smoothies, coffees, and specialty beverages, making it suitable for both breakfast and lunch visits.
With its established brand recognition and focus on all-day breakfast, Ben & Florentine’s arrival adds another casual dining option to Contrecœur’s commercial landscape. The new location reflects the company’s ongoing growth strategy and continued interest in expanding within developing retail centers across the region.
