It’s a timeless story; a local man ventures off, makes good in the beer world, and partners up with a childhood friend to bring his successful concept back home to Maryland. Montgomery County’s own Chris Sanchez is living out this reality right now, as he teams up with his friend and business partner Niko Tombros to open a new outpost of Beer Trado Co.-his food and drink establishment built around community and trust-in Laytonsville later this year, reports local media outlet MoCo Show.

The relaxed concept is bringing craft beer to the Red Barn Retail Shops 6860 Olney Laytonsville Road. Beer Trade Co. is taking over the space previously occupied by The Office Cafe & Lounge, with plans to be open and operational this spring.

Sanchez launched Beer Trade Co. in Florida in 2014. The bar and restaurant employs a very unique approach-one likely to be a first for many future customers. Visitors are invited to grab their drinks before taking a seat. Hungry guests can order from a menu fueled by the three barfood essentials: wings, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. Patrons can grab drinks as the night progresses, holding onto their empties until it’s time to cash out. Sanchez founded Beer Trade Co. on a simple principle that became it’s motto-“Grab a Beer and Chill”.
