Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition will open in Boston on February 12, for visitors to view the artwork of the iconic chapel. The immersive presentation will display Michelangelo’s frescoes in an intimate, life-size format at CambridgeSide.

All 34 Sistine Chapel Frescoes Recreated in Life-Size Detail

Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition uses licensed high-resolution imagery and an advanced printing technique. It helps bring all 34 of the master artist’s ceiling and altar frescoes to life in life-size detail. Each fresco is presented in vivid detail. It gives visitors a glimpse into the depth and artistry of the most celebrated space.

From The Creation of Adam to The Last Judgment, the exhibit recreates every piece faithfully.  The exhibition has been praised for its accessible design. It helps visitors explore minute details, colors, and brushstrokes of the frescoes, earning it a rating of 4.8 globally.

The show also has informative signage and audio guides, providing context and insights for each piece. “We are thrilled to bring this immersive experience to Boston,” said Martin Biallas, CEO of SEE Global Entertainment and producer of the exhibition.

“Whether you’re an art lover, history enthusiast, or someone encountering this masterpiece for the first time, this exhibition allows you to experience Michelangelo’s genius in an intimate and unforgettable way,” Biallas added.

Tickets to the exhibition are available on its official website. General admissions will be priced at $28, with discounts available for students, children, seniors, and military. The VIP tickets will give access to visitors on priority, along with a souvenir guidebook.

The show is offering a discount of 20% on tickets until Monday, February 16, to celebrate the opening.  “CambridgeSide is pleased to host Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition,” said Melissa LaVita, Regional Director of Marketing for CambridgeSide.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the stunning artistry that millions have traveled to Rome to view. Visitors can make a day of it with a trip to the exhibition and then shopping and dining at our two levels of shops and restaurants, including CanalSide Food + Drink, a food hall with thirteen eateries and a waterfront bar,” she added.

Located at 100 CambridgeSide Place, Cambridge, the show will run from Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with 6.30 PM as the last entry. On Sunday, the exhibit will begin from 11 AM to 6 PM with 4.30 as the last entry.

With its immersive format and opening-week ticket discounts, the exhibition is expected to draw strong interest from art enthusiasts throughout its run.
