Tacos De Princesa, an artisanal Mexican eatery, is set to open its first Toronto location at 150 King Street West and a second downtown location in South Core later this year.

The King West location will officially open on February 18, 2026, according to 6ixRetail. Roughly 1,000 square feet, the new location is designed for high-volume PATH traffic, serving 60–70 customers per half-hour during the lunch peak. The South Core location has already been secured, with construction expected in spring or early summer 2026 and a targeted opening in Fall 2026. Both sites will feature elevated Mexican street food, halal-certified meats, and chef-driven menu adaptations tailored to downtown clientele.

Tacos De Princesa focuses on creating a destination experience, with visually striking interiors, open kitchens, vibrant music, and energetic service. Menus are crafted for downtown professionals and include low-carb options, specialty salads, surf-and-turf, plant-based chorizo, and plans to develop breakfast offerings and possibly weekend hours. The King West location will lead the rollout, with South Core following the same premium approach.

The brand emphasizes small, strategic expansion rather than broad franchising. All locations are owner-operated to maintain quality, authenticity, and profitability. PATH corridors and financial district sites are prioritized for their high foot traffic and premium visibility, ensuring each restaurant serves as more than just a lunch stop.

Tacos De Princesa distinguishes itself from its suburban Narcos Tacos brand by offering an elevated, artisanal experience downtown. Customers can expect lively service, curated menus, and a space designed to be both social and visually engaging, with original art and an Instagram-friendly aesthetic.

With two confirmed downtown locations and plans for one or two additional premium sites, Tacos De Princesa is pursuing deliberate, high-quality expansion in Toronto’s financial district. This approach balances growth with hands-on ownership and a consistent focus on elevated Mexican dining experiences.
