Jack’s Pancake Factory, a breakfast-focused restaurant known for its eggless pancakes and all-day comfort fare, is opening a new location in Guelph at 257 Grange Road.
The restaurant’s new location is scheduled to open on February 7, making it the first site outside Barrie, according to Guelph Today. Jack’s Pancake Factory was previously owned by Jack and Renee Sourlis, who ran the popular full-service restaurant for eight years before selling the business in 2025 to Mit Patel, Chintan Patel, and Jay Patel. Customers can expect pancakes with 75 percent less sugar syrup, waffles, omelettes, French toast, breakfast skillets, and a full menu of 132 items, all prepared with fresh ingredients sourced weekly from local farmers.
Jack’s Pancake Factory first opened in Barrie and has built a reputation for generous portions, quality ingredients, and approachable breakfast fare. The restaurant emphasizes a welcoming atmosphere with high ceilings, a patio, and ample parking, providing space for families and groups. Each dish is made to order, including home fries crafted from scratch, ensuring freshness and consistency across the menu.
The Guelph location will offer extended breakfast hours, Monday through Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., catering to early risers and weekend brunch crowds. The restaurant’s focus on comfort food and value aims to create a long-term presence in the community.
Menu highlights include French toast made with egg and cream, omelettes with fresh vegetables and cheese, savory breakfast skillets, and fluffy waffles. Pancakes remain the centerpiece, served with a variety of toppings including fresh fruit, whipped cream, and maple syrup alternatives that reduce sugar content without compromising taste.
This is just the beginning for Jack’s Pancake Factory, as a representative from the company tells What Now Toronto, “For now, we’re planning to open a few restaurants across Southern Ontario over the next couple of years. At this stage, it’s a family-run business, but we are planning to explore franchising in the future.”
