Coming upon its 10th anniversary, Prince Coffee announced its opening a third location on Instagram, asking its followers to guess where based on a few cryptic photos of the coffee shop’s interior. Eagle-eyed commenters have pinpointed the upcoming location in Overlook, on 1936 N Killingsworth St., first reported by Bridgetown Bites.

Prince Coffee was established in 2016 by Katie Prinsen, opening the first location in Kenton. Prinsen opened a second location in Beaumont and eventually moved her Kenton shop to Northwest Portland.

The specialty coffee shop features a diverse line-up of local and global coffee roasters. They serve a small menu of snacks and light lunch items. Its Northwest Portland location also offers a female-focused line-up of wines that rotate bi-weekly.

“I love that we do events in our current spaces, and I want to do more of that in the third shop—food concepts, wine tastings, knitting nights, music events, the vintage markets,” Prinsen said in an interview on Prince Coffee’s Substack. The upcoming Overlook location has a large patio space for Prinsen to do just that.

What Now Portland has reached out to Prinsen for comment. The third Prince Coffee is aiming for a spring 2026 opening.
