“IT’S HAPPENING!” declared a post published on Instagram by Springfield Preservation and Revitalization back in December. “We are THRILLED to celebrate the grand opening of Springfield Animal Hospital and Unleashed – A Dog Bar!”

Springfield Animal Hospital has officially opened, a “unique Partnership to ensure that all of our patients receive the best medical services Veterinary Medicine has to offer,” as its website says, adding: “Our mission is to ensure that each one of our clients is unconditionally pleased with the services they receive and that our hospital prospers in order to reinvest in our Staff and Facility.”

But as the SPAR post notes, veterinarians Gary Neuman and Nik Nikolov, who are heading up the project, aren’t stopping there. They’re also launching Unleashed – A Dog Bar in tandem. And according to the Jacksonville Business Journal, it’s opening in mid-March.

“Think drinks, dog yard, and community events. This is peak Springfield energy,” says an Instagram post by Jax with Josh.

Opening at 1636 N Main St., in the former home of Historically Hoppy, Unleashed will be a dog bar/brewery.

What Now reached out to Gary Neuman on Wednesday to ask about plans for Unleashed. Neuman was not immediately available for comment.
