With about 9,990 locations currently open in the U.S., Dunkin’ Donuts has proved its early-2000’s slogan “America Runs on Dunkin’”. Well over 900 of those locations are in Florida, and more are on the way: multi-unit franchisee Andy Patel is planning to launch another new location on 11410 Normandy Blvd, near Chaffee Road (as the Jacksonville Daily Record reported in January).
“We just started construction at Normandy and Chaffee,” Patel told What Now on Wednesday. “We should be opening in July.”
Patel has been a Dunkin’ franchisee for 15 years and says he is currently operating 25 locations.
“When I first got into Dunkin’, there were probably 6 locations in Jacksonville. I’ve seen it change a lot.”
And now Dunkin’s growth in the area is continuing this July. More imminent news on the Dunkin’ front is the brand’s recently announced Valentine’s Day menu.
“Dunkin’ is celebrating the season of love with a Valentine’s Day lineup made for sweet cravings, easy gifting and a little extra fun,” the announcement said. “Beginning today, guests can welcome back one of the brand’s top-selling donuts, Brownie Batter, along with a suite of flirty new beverages, and limited-edition Valentine’s Day MUNCHKINS® Tins – all joining Dunkin’s existing lineup.”
The announcement lists the following new menu items:
- Heart Eyes Daydream Refresher: Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher with blueberry flavor and oatmilk, topped with Sweet Cold Foam.
- Chocolate Covered Strawberry Daydream Refresher: Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher with oatmilk, finished with a decadent Chocolate Cold Foam.
- Blush Spritz Refresher: Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher topped with sparkling water for a crisp, bubbly twist.
- Toxic Ex-Presso Cloud Latte: Espresso with mocha swirl and raspberry flavor, finished with Chocolate Cold Foam.
- Sweet On You Cloud Latte: Espresso blended with whole milk, caramel swirl and coconut flavor, topped with Sweet Cold Foam.
- The Perfect Matcha: Matcha green tea mixed with whole milk and topped with Sweet Cold Foam.
- Buff Chai: Chai syrup combined with Protein Milk, available hot or iced, delivering 15 grams of protein* in a medium beverage.
Meanwhile, we’ll see the return of the brand’s heart-shaped donuts, including the Brownie Batter Classic Donut (filled with chocolatey, brownie-batter-flavored buttercreme and finished with chocolate icing and sprinkles) and the Cupid’s Choice Classic Donut (filled with Bavarian Kreme, topped with strawberry flavored icing and festive sprinkles).
