Slick City, an indoor waterless slide and action park, is getting ready to open a new location in La Habra at 1020 W. Imperial Highway.
The company’s new location is set to move into a former Big Lots space, with the 36,700-square-foot park expected to open this summer, according to the OC Register. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, this will be a corporate-owned location. Customers can expect indoor slides, air courts, arcade games, and on-site food and beverage options.
The La Habra park will feature large-scale slides such as Mega Launch, Hyperloop, and Royal Flush, along with junior play areas for younger children. Additional attractions typically include laser tag, sport air courts for basketball and dodgeball, and arcade games. The facility will be climate controlled and operate year round. Guests can purchase time-based tickets, including 90-minute and 120-minute sessions, as well as junior tickets for younger children. A waiver is required for all guests entering the building, and special socks are mandatory for participation.
Food and beverages will be part of the experience. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, but the park offers hot food, snacks, candy, and beverages available for purchase. Family Fun Day packages and group events also include food and drink options for added convenience.
Headquartered in St. Louis and Nashville, Slick City opened its first location in Denver in early 2022. The concept was co-founded by Bron Launsby, CEO of Slick City, and Gary Schmit, Founder and CEO of Slick Slide. The brand describes itself as the world’s first indoor slide and air court park, offering waterless slides designed to deliver the sensation of a waterslide without water. More than 100 locations have been signed, are under construction, or are open nationwide.
With its location along Imperial Highway, this will be an excellent landing space for Slick City as it expands in Orange County.
