BTRMLK, a fried chicken-focused restaurant known for sandwiches, strips, bites, and loaded fries, is getting ready to open a new location in Oakville at 280 North Service Road West.
This will be the company’s third location in the Greater Toronto Area, according to Insauga. While an exact opening date has not been announced, customers can expect their signature fried chicken, mac n’ cheese, loaded fries, and a range of dip flavours, including buttermilk, honey mustard, chipotle mayo, Buffalo, honey garlic, and honey Buffalo.
BTRMLK started as a pop-up in a family garage in London, Ontario, during the 2020 lockdown. The founders shared their fried chicken creations with friends and family before expanding into a full-service operation. Over the past five years, the concept has grown from a single pop-up to two established locations.
The restaurant gained popularity through social media, with videos of their fried chicken and dips going viral and receiving hundreds of thousands of views. The Oakville announcement alone drew roughly 1,500 likes and more than 150 comments from fans recalling the London location and the early pop-up days.
The menu at BTRMLK focuses on fried chicken in various forms, including sandwiches, strips, and bites, paired with loaded fries and mac n’ cheese. Customers can choose from multiple dipping sauces, ranging from classic to spicy, offering a customizable experience.
The Oakville location will maintain the brand’s commitment to quality and a welcoming atmosphere. BTRMLK emphasizes its humble beginnings and passion for good food, with plans for further expansion, ensuring that both first-time diners and loyal fans can enjoy a consistent and premium experience.
“You’ve come to us, now we’re coming to you. Oakville,” according to the company’s announcement. “GTA. We’re ready for you. It all started as a pop-up in London five years ago. No storefront. No big plan. Just a passion for good food. We’re thrilled to announce that we are opening a brand new BTRMLK in Oakville! Over the years, demand from the GTA has been loud and clear, and we’re beyond grateful it’s brought us here. Thank you for believing in what we’re building. This is only the beginning.”
