Pop Mart will open a new store at Hillsdale Shopping Center, marking the brand’s continued expansion in the Bay Area. The collectible designer toy retailer will debut the San Mateo location with a grand opening on March 14 as part of its expanding North American footprint.
Pop Mart Opens Fifth Bay Area Store at Hillsdale Shopping Center
The new Hillsdale location will be the fifth Pop Mart store to open in the Bay Area. The brand operates more than 65 physical stores and more than 130 Robo shops in the United States. Globally, Pop Mart operates more than 550 stores and over 2,500 Robo Shops across more than 20 countries. The company also reaches customers in more than 90 markets through its e-commerce platforms.
“Pop Mart has built an incredible following around the world through collectible culture, original creations, and playful design,” said Jacqueline Fitch-Little, senior vice president of leasing for Northwood Retail. “We’re excited to introduce this vibrant concept and bring a new kind of discovery to Hillsdale.”
Fan-Favorite Collectible Universe in San Mateo
Pop Mart has collaborated with artists from around the world to create characters that have become popular among collectors and fans. Its growing lineup includes popular characters such as DIMOO, THE MONSTERS, HIRONO, MOLLY, and SKULLPANDA.
The brand also releases special-edition collaborations that continue to expand its universe of characters. Located at Hillsdale Shopping Center on Sixty 31st Avenue in San Mateo, the store offers visitors a chance to explore Pop Mart’s collectible figures and immersive retail experience.
A Growing Global Brand
Pop Mart was founded in 2010 and has since grown into a global entertainment brand focused on creating original characters and intellectual property. With the opening of its new store at Hillsdale Shopping Center, the brand continues to expand its presence across North America.
