Pasta Privato, a hidden, intimate modern Italian pasta bar, is getting ready to open in Toronto at 11 Church Street.

The restaurant will operate through Notte Ristorante’s entrance and feature just 30 seats, offering a personal and refined dining experience. Pasta Privato is scheduled to open on March 27, 2026, according to BlogTO. Customers can expect fresh, housemade pasta, small plates, secondi, and antipasti, as well as an eight-course tasting menu priced at $125. Sommeliers will be available to provide curated wine pairings.

Chef Michael Angeloni is leading the kitchen, bringing years of experience and a focus on artisanal pasta and modern Italian techniques. The restaurant is backed by partners Yannick Bigourdan and Adam Teolis, who are also involved with Notte Ristorante, Berczy Tavern, The Carbon Bar, The Carbon Snack Bar, and Restaurant Lucie. Pasta Privato is designed to feel intimate and approachable while maintaining elevated Italian craftsmanship.

The menu emphasizes seasonal ingredients and local artisanal partnerships, reflecting Angeloni’s mentors and career-defining culinary experiences. Signature dishes at launch include agnolotti, tagliatelle, tajarin, lorighittas, beef heart with beets inspired by Peruvian street food, and selections of Ibérico pork, rabbit, beef shank, tongue, cheek, and swordfish. The offerings evolve regularly, keeping the dining experience dynamic and focused on freshness.

The restaurant’s discreet entrance and 30-seat layout are designed to create a “hidden but intentional” atmosphere that encourages discovery and connection. The design balances refined rustic style with welcoming, unpretentious service. This will be an excellent landing space for a modern Italian concept that prioritizes personal attention and craft-driven cuisine.

Pasta Privato aims to add to Toronto’s growing scene of artisanal Italian dining, providing an intimate alternative to larger, traditional restaurants. By combining seasonal Ontario ingredients with handmade pasta and curated small plates, the restaurant looks to offer a distinctive culinary experience that honors Italian roots while embracing local flavors.
