Floor & Decor has announced the grand opening of its newest warehouse store and design center in Syracuse marking its first location in Central New York. The store is located at 300 Northern Lights Mall and expands the retailer’s footprint in the region.
Floor & Decor Opens Syracuse Store with 50-Employee Team
The Syracuse location of Floor & Decor will be led by the store’s Chief Executive Merchant, Brian Seginak. It will open with a team of about 35 full-time and 15 part-time assistants, according to Businesswire.
The brand runs over 270 stores in the format of warehouses and five design studios across the US. It provides a variety of hard-surface floor coverings like vinyl, natural stone, tile, wood, and laminate. They also offer accessories and installation materials of similar categories at low prices.
“Bringing Floor & Decor to Syracuse is an exciting milestone for our team,” said Seginak, adding that the company remains focused on making quality, trend-forward flooring accessible while serving the local community.
Weekly Celebration: 7 Days of Deals
The celebration for the grand opening will begin on Tuesday, April 7, and continue through Monday, April 13. During its first 7 Days of Deals, Floor & Decor will host daily in-store events featuring product demonstrations and special promotions.
Attendees can win a Floor & Decor gift card worth $1,000 each day. On April 7, the store will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 AM, with Cicero-Plank Road Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce as partners. Attendees can enjoy a complimentary breakfast food truck from 7 AM to 11 AM, and the first 200 customers can win Floor & Decor-branded buckets.
On April 8, Schluter will be on-site with installation demonstrations at 8 AM, 10 AM, and 1 PM. Schluter products will be 10% off, and the first 200 customers will receive complimentary tote bags. On April 9, Mapei will have installation demonstrations at 8 AM, 10 AM, and 1 PM with 10% off on its products.
The first 200 attendees will receive free T-shirts. On April 10, Laticrete will come with installation demonstrations at 8 AM, 10 AM, and 1 PM, and the first 200 customers will receive a free hat. The store will celebrate Family Friendly Super Saturday on April 11 from 10 AM to 1 PM with a $1 Million Dice Roll and complimentary items from local businesses for the first 200 attendees.
Some of the items include body butters from SeaKissed Blends, assorted candies, chocolate from Speach Family Candy Shoppe, and Cafe Blue’s coffee and pastries. The top designers at Floor & Decor will showcase new trends and free samples with a design appointment. An ice cream truck will also be available from 2 PM to 4 PM.
On April 13, wedi will host demonstrations at 8 AM, 10 AM, and 1 PM. Customers can buy 10 wedi products at 10% off, and the first 200 visitors will receive a free tumbler.
Additional Promotions and Store Timings
Floor & Decor is offering a $5,000 Floor Makeover Sweepstakes through June 1 for customers to win a flooring makeover. Located at 300 Northern Lights Mall in Syracuse, the store will open from Monday-Friday 7 AM to 8 PM.
On Saturday, it will start from 8 AM to 7 PM and from 10 AM to 6 PM. With its first Central New York location, the new store strengthens the retailer’s national footprint.
