Women’s sports bar Jolene Jolene has announced that it has secured a permanent home, according to a recent Instagram announcement.
“Two years ago, we set out with one simple belief: Atlanta deserves a place to show up for women’s sports. Since then, y’all have turned that idea into something so much bigger. From packed watch parties to partnerships across the country, we’ve built a community that shows up, cheers loud, and believes in what this can be,” the announcement states.
Owner Chelsea Fishman told What Now Atlanta that she is not revealing the exact location as of yet but hopes to do so within the next month. She is hoping to open Jolene Jolene by summer.
In the meantime, Fishman has launched a Kickstarter campaign, which is looking to secure $50,000 by April 22.
Jolene Jolene has been seeking a permanent home for some time, functioning as a pop-up and residency over the past couple of years. Last year, it had a residency that lasted several months at Brick and Mortar at Pullman Yards.
“I can’t thank y’all enough for following this journey and believing in Jolene Jolene,” the announcement states. “We’ve built the community, now let’s build the home.”
