A Belgian-inspired eatery plans to expand to Kirkland next year.

Farine Bakery & Cafe, owned by Olivier Dispas and Stephanie Rodriguez, will open at the Modera Bridle Trails apartments, a new residential complex at the intersection of Rose Hill and Bridle Trails, according to a social media post.

The 4,200-square-foot space will offer dine-in and takeout service, along with an outdoor patio for guests.

“It’s a rare opportunity to be ideally situated to serve our customers where they live. Going to Grasslawn Park for kids’ soccer games, hiking or walking through the many trails or commuting, we look forward to welcoming you to Farine Kirkland!” the post read.

The announcement follows the cafe’s March 2026 debut in Woodinville. The team also operates two additional locations in Redmond and Bellevue.

The name “Farine,” meaning “flour,” reflects the focus on house-made offerings. The menu highlights French and Belgian influences with an emphasis on breads and pastries made in-house.

Breakfast options include egg plates, croissant sandwiches and dishes such as shakshuka and French toast. Tartines and baguette sandwiches are filled with smoked salmon, prosciutto and roast chicken, while salads and grain bowls offer lighter fare. Belgian-style waffles, frites and a wide selection of pastries, including croissants, cruffins, éclairs and tarts, round out the offerings.

“We spent years researching the right combinations of food, drinks and ambience to create Farine. We traveled extensively across France and Belgium to draw inspiration from their rich culinary traditions, and then looked locally to create something unique for this corner of the Pacific Northwest,” the website reads.

To complement the menu, Farine serves Caffè Umbria coffee, Harney & Sons tea and a range of beverages made with house-made fruit, spice, caramel and chocolate syrups.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2026.
