Yukon Standup Steak House to Bring Fast-Casual Sizzle to Redmond This Fall

Seattle restaurateur Kurt Dammeier expands his Sugar Mountain brand.

A fast-casual steakhouse is set to bring the sizzle to Redmond this fall.

Seattle restaurateur Kurt Beecher Dammeier’s Yukon Standup Steak House will occupy a 1,450-square-foot space in Redmond’s Rail District at 16421 Cleveland St., according to The Puget Sound Business Journal.

Dammeier is the founder of Sugar Mountain, a “creative food” company overseeing brands and restaurants focused on real food made without artificial ingredients. 

The brand includes the acclaimed Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, known for its artisan cheeses and cafe menu, and Pasta & Co., celebrated for its pure, all-natural ingredients.

The restaurateur is no stranger to steak, with two other concepts under Sugar Mountain. Mishima Reserve offers American Wagyu beef through partnerships with family ranches across the Western U.S., featuring herds of Japanese Washu bulls crossed with American cows. The Butcher’s Table is a traditional steakhouse located in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.

Yukon Standup Steak House will join Shake Shack and Joe & the Juice in Redmond’s bustling redeveloped hub.

The Redmond Rail District Building sits amid upscale apartments, townhomes, retail, dining and office spaces. It also anchors the entrance to downtown Redmond’s new light rail station, linking residents to Bellevue and, soon, Seattle.
