Chick-fil-A is Opening Its New Location in Lincoln Park, Michigan

A new Chick-fil-A is opening in Lincoln Park at 2060 Southfield Road on April 2, 2026. The location will offer dine-in, drive-thru, takeout, delivery, catering, and mobile ordering.
The opening will be celebrated with a special event. Customers are encouraged to wear cow-printed clothing for the opening day celebration.
The restaurant is expected to create approximately 120 jobs in Lincoln Park. The restaurant will join more than 20 Chick-fil-A locations in the Detroit market.
About the Owner-Operator

Marcel Smith has been selected as the local Owner-Operator of the new Chick-fil-A. He grew up in Detroit and studied international business at Houston Christian University. Smith previously worked as a financial advisor and youth coach. He completed Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development Program before stepping into the role.
“Opening a restaurant so close to where I grew up is a full-circle moment for me,” said Smith, Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Lincoln Park. “As the local, my goal is for Guests and Team Members to feel known and cared for, and for this restaurant to serve as a positive anchor for my family and the community.”
Opening Day Plans

For opening day, Chick-fil-A is encouraging customers to dress in cow print and be part of their Moove-In Party. Whether it is a full costume or a cow-print accessory, customers dressed in cow print can enjoy a free entrée or a kid’s meal. The offer is for customers dining inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
This is part of Chick-fil-A’s campaign that encourages people to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin.” Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of the brand. To spread the word, Chick-fil-A has continued this tradition when expanding to new locations.
Apart from the freebies, Chick-fil-A is also donating $25,000 to Feeding America. This is to support the local community and benefit the local food bank. The restaurant will also participate in the Shared Table program, which donates surplus food to nonprofits.
The new opening marks another step in Chick-fil-A’s growth across the Detroit area. It also brings new jobs and community support, along with local leadership and charitable efforts.
