27-Year-Old IT Services Provider Files WARN for 74 Layoffs in Rockville

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a global technology and professional services company, filed a WARN notice. The company will lay off 74 employees at its Rockville, Maryland, facility.

General Dynamics Information Technology Conducting Mass Layoffs

GDIT has filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice with the Maryland Department of Labor. The notice was filed on April 1, outlining employee layoffs from the facility at 5601 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20852.

The mass layoff is permanent, with no recalls, and will take effect on June 1, 2026. The recent WARN filings by the company signal major operational restructuring plans.

GDIT also reported layoffs at another Maryland facility last month. According to a filing by the company on March 27, 21 employees will be laid off from the facility at 4600 Sangamore Road, Bethesda, MD 20816. Separations from this facility are expected on May 29.

The WARN filings indicate multiple employees could be impacted by GDIT’s workforce reductions at the Bethesda and Rockville locations. Also, the company has not disclosed the reason for the layoffs.
