At the end of last month, the Jacksonville Business Journal reported that New Jersey-born AYCE sushi brand Supra Revolving Sushi Bar has signed a lease to replace Hooters at 4521 Southside Blvd.

This week, the story was further confirmed when Supra Jacksonville LLC submitted plan review paperwork for Supra Revolving Sushi Bar to open at that address. (What Now reached out to owner Min Lu to ask about plans for the opening. Lu was not immediately available for comment.)

The Hooters location, which opened in 2007, closed abruptly in the middle of 2025. Replacing it, Supra Revolving Sushi will bring to the location its revolving sushi menu that includes nigiri with proteins like salmon, tuna, shrimp, and beef; special rolls; hand rolls; and hot hibachi entrées. At any rate, that, plus bubble and fruit teas, is what’s on the menu in the Linden, New Jersey location. It remains to be seen exactly what the menu Jacksonville menu will look like.

“Enjoy the excitement of selecting fresh sushi as it passes by on our modern conveyor belt system,” says the Supra Sushi website. “With beautiful Japanese lanterns overhead and comfortable booth seating, dining at Supra is both interactive and relaxing.”
