Millington is getting a new home for authentic Mexican cuisine, thanks to a Mississippi favorite. El Veracruz is deepening its Tennessee presence, with a fresh location coming to Navy Road, reports Commercial Appeal.

The concept will be returning delicious dining to the 4816 Navy Road storefront that previously housed Oriental Noodle-though it is bringing a decidedly different energy and flavor to the space. A commercial alteration permit under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of January 5 of this year offers a few basic details about El Veracruz’s new home; the restaurant will span 1,200 square feet and have an occupant load of 75.

A definitive opening timeline is not yet available for El Veracruz; What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for further information and will update readers as details become available.

El Veracruz currently has 10 locations open and operational-9 in Mississippi and 1 in Tennessee. The restaurant is committed to crafting authentic Mexican fare using superior ingredients-an ethos Millington is sure to embrace. The website offers this insight: “We’re blending our passion for making delicious food with our extensive knowledge of our cuisine to create authentic and classic dishes for your enjoyment. We use the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients and promise to give your taste buds something to be excited about.”
