A local favorite will soon return to downtown Woodland.
Las Brasas Tacos & Salsas is reopening in its former home at 537B Main St, according to recent social media updates from the business. “We’re back,” the team shared in a Facebook post. “Coming back stronger, better & more flavorful than ever!”
The return marks a new chapter for Las Brasas, which closed its restaurant at the end of September 2024 to shift focus toward catering. Shortly after the closure, the space became home to 11:11 Sabores del Pueblo, which has since relocated inside the San Bruno Bowling Alley.
Founded by Chef Rudy Peniche, Las Brasas has built a following for its casual, comfort-forward take on Mexican cuisine, including burritos, tacos, and tortas. Its catering program expands that lineup with build-your-own taco bars featuring asada, chicken, al pastor, birria, carnitas, vegetarian, and fajita options, along with a full salsa bar.
The menu also includes more elevated a la carte offerings such as steak and tri-tip, plus appetizers ranging from skewers and crostini to roasted corn, quesadillas, sopes, ceviches, and chips with salsa.
