Levant BBQ is cooking up something nice for the Greater Houston community. The Texas BBQ spot with Levantine flavor is working on opening its second location. According to a recently filed permit, Levant BBQ is slated to open inside Sugar Land Town Square at 15903 City Walk.
Construction details on the 3,973 square-foot property include an estimated $100,000 project that is expected to start in July and wrap up at the top of September this year. If all goes well with permitting and construction, Levant BBQ should be serving up its hot and smoky eats out of the Sugar Land Town Square’s newest restaurant by fall.
Mohamad Kharboutli and pitmaster Daniel Estrada run the brand. What Now Houston briefly spoke with Kharboutli, who confirmed the opening but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
Levant BBQ sits at the intersection of authentic Halal Barbecue and Levantine Tradition.

“Every dish is slow-smoked to perfection and crafted with tradition in mind. Proudly halal, we bring you bold flavors infused with the soul of the Levant.”
Levant BBQ cooks up and dishes out a variety of smoked meats by the pound, including brisket, lamb chops, and beef ribs. The eatery also offers BBQ plates with a choice of two sides. Sides options on the menu comprise hummus, mac &cheese, Quinoa Cowboy Caviar, and saffron rice, just to name a few.
Levant BBQ also offers sandwiches, a mix of potatoes, and packages with a multitude of options to help feed the whole family.
“At LEVANT BBQ, we’re passionate about bringing together the best of two worlds: the bold, smoky flavors of classic barbecue and the vibrant, aromatic spices of Levantine cuisine,” the Levant BBQ website reads.
“Born from a love of food and a deep appreciation for tradition, we slow-smoke every cut of meat to perfection, infusing it with the soul of the Levant.”
Levant BBQ is anticipated to open its second location inside the Sugar Land Town Square at 15903 City Walk by this fall.
