Longstanding Bend ski-shop Powder House is currently developing its back lot with plans to launch a new venue in 8,000 square feet of space. It’s called Base Camp, and according to coverage by KTVZ21, it will feature “outdoor seating with fire pits, 36 taps, handcrafted cocktails and live music.”
“The new venue, designed to create a relaxing atmosphere for customers, is set to enhance food options on the West Side,” the coverage says. “Construction for the Base Camp venue is scheduled to finish by late April or early May, indicating that the new gathering space could be ready for customers shortly after that.”
“Since 1976, Powder House has been one of Bend’s original ski and snowboard shops – proudly family-owned, community-rooted, and deeply connected to the spirit of outdoor adventure,” says the Powder House website. “For over 30 years, our knowledgeable and friendly team has helped locals and visitors alike gear up for every season.”
Located at 311 SW Century Drive, Powder House has been operated by Todd and Shanda McGee for almost 25 years.
What Now reached out to Todd McGee on Wednesday to ask about plans for the Base Camp opening. McGee was not immediately available for comment.
