Signage for Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen has appeared at 85 2nd Ave., signaling that the Michelin-recognized Dallas-based concept is nearing its East Village debut. Taking over the former home of Viva Cucina, the two story restaurant space is currently undergoing its final transformation. According to recent community board filings, the establishment will offer a full-service experience with a capacity for 85 seated patrons and a small five-seat bar on the first floor.

Guests can expect a Northern Vietnamese menu deeply rooted in the authentic street food flavors of Hanoi. The current Dallas menu lists signature dishes like Bún Chả Hà Nội (chargrilled pork with vermicelli), 24-hour simmered Phở, and a variety of Bánh Mì. The beverage program is set to include traditional Vietnamese coffee — alongside a selection of beer, cider, and wine. What Now New York has reached out for more information.

In 2024, the Dallas location earned the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand award. The award is given for a distinct combination of quality and value.
