Known for its sweet breakfast treats, The Sunny Side Up Restaurant in Harahan is planning a new location in New Orleans East. According to permit documents filed with the city, the new location will be a full-service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and non-alcoholic drinks, offering dine-in and take-out services. An opening date has not been announced, and What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

The current location of Sunny Side Up gets positive reviews for its service and food, which tends to come in large portions. The funnel cakes, French toast, waffles, crepes, and pancakes can all come with decadent toppings like Bananas Foster,  strawberry cheesecake, and Bavarian cream. A recent menu also featured some unique savory treats, including a crawfish breakfast burrito.
