Pudgy’s Fine Cookies is expanding! The beloved Houston cookie brand is slated to open a second location this summer. According to a recently filed permit, the new Pudgy’s Fine Cookies is expected to open at the Meyerland Court Shopping Center, located at 4798 Beechnut Street.
The permit also details that the $127,400 consturction project is planned to start this week and wrap up by the end of August. If all goes well with construction and permitting, Pudgy’s Fine Cookies will be dishing out its sweet treats out of its new Meyerland store by summer.
At the helm of the sweets shop is Jenny Teamer. What Now Houston briefly spoke with Teamer, who confirmed the opening but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
“Pudgy’s Fine Cookies came to life with one goal in mind: to make the highest quality Thick AF cookies with the best ingredients that hit the spot every time,” the Pudgy’s Fine Cookies website reads.
“We prioritize quality, taste, and most importantly– fun! Our mission is to level up traditional flavors and dream up exciting new combinations while staying true to the irreplaceable nostalgia of a biting into really good fresh baked cookie. Our Pudgy character represents everyone’s inner child… and sometimes your inner child just needs an ooey, gooey, fresh-baked cookie!”
Pudgy’s Fine Cookies was originally launched as a popular local pop-up by former Houston dental hygienist Van Teamer during the pandemic. Known for thick, “crisp-edge-and-chewy” cookies, the brand opened its first brick-and-mortar location in 2022 at 1010 N. Shepherd Drive.
Cookies come in a 12-box, eight-pack, six-pack, or four-box, and you can, of course, buy a single cookie if you wish. Pudgy’s Fine Cookies offers a wide variety of flavors, including the Double Trouble chocolate cookie, Sugar Baby rolled in rainbow sprinklers, and the Big Oreo, the brand’s take on cookies n’ cream.
