Szechwan Express, a quick-service restaurant specializing in Chinese and East Asian cuisine, is getting ready to open a new location in Brampton at 25 Peel Centre Drive.

The company’s new location will be found within the Bramalea City Centre, according to Insauga. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, signage for the restaurant is already up at the site, indicating progress toward an opening soon. This opening expands Szechwan Express’s presence across Ontario. Customers can expect a menu featuring made-to-order Chinese dishes and quick-service favorites.

Szechwan Express has locations in Toronto, North York, Mississauga, Etobicoke, and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Many of its restaurants operate within shopping centers and food courts, making it a convenient option for shoppers. The addition of Bramalea City Centre continues this approach, bringing the brand into another high-traffic retail setting.

The brand traces its roots back to 1991, when the founding family opened its first location at First Canadian Place in downtown Toronto. It later expanded with additional sites, including a Vaughan Mills location that opened in 2004. The company has continued to grow while focusing on fast, accessible Chinese cuisine.

Menu offerings include Cantonese chow mein, Hakka garlic noodles, and fried rice with various protein or vegetable options. Customers can also order customizable noodle soups based on their preferences.

Additional items include dim sum such as har gow shrimp dumplings, siu mai pork dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, barbecue pork buns, and sesame balls. Signature dishes like General Tso Chicken, Crispy Ginger Beef, Spicy Peanut Chicken, and Szechuan Beef remain staples of the menu.
