Dave’s Hot Chicken is set to continue its Texas expansion with a new location planned for Helotes, according to a recent project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The fast-growing chicken chain will open at 9257 N Loop 1604 W, in a 2,882-square-foot space, marking another addition to its expanding San Antonio-area footprint.
It is listed under a renovation and tenant finish-out and is expected to carry an estimated construction cost of $525,000. Work on the site is scheduled to begin on July 27, 2026, with completion anticipated for November 5, 2026.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is an American fast-casual restaurant chain known for its Nashville-style hot chicken tenders and sliders.
Founded in 2017 in Los Angeles by four childhood friends, the brand started as a small parking-lot pop-up before quickly growing into a global franchise with hundreds of locations. It is popular for its spicy chicken served at multiple heat levels, ranging from mild to extremely hot “Reaper,” as well as sides like fries, mac and cheese, and slaw.
Today, the company is headquartered in Pasadena, California and has expanded across the United States and internationally, becoming one of the fastest-growing chicken chains in the fast-food industry.
The upcoming restaurant will be located within a high-traffic corridor on the Northwest Side, an area that continues to see steady retail and dining growth.
The Helotes location will join the brand’s growing presence in the San Antonio market as demand for fast-casual chicken concepts continues to rise.
Ownership behind the project is listed under Larsh Family Holdings, LLC, while the tenant is identified as Paul Gorman on behalf of Dave’s Hot Chicken San Antonio operations.
An official opening date has not yet been announced. What Now San Antonio reached out to Paul Gorman for more information regarding the upcoming location, but he had not responded at the time of publication. This article will be updated once more information becomes available.
