A new concept is heading to Westlake Village. La Gita Kitchen and Focacceria will open in a 955-square-foot space at 4619 Lakeview Canyon Road in the County Line Shopping Center, according to a city council agenda from late April.
It will serve as a new takeout and catering kitchen that offers focaccia bread baked onsite as well as sandwiches, salads and charbroiled chicken, according to the meeting agenda. The ownership is also seeking alcohol licensing for off-site consumption of wine and beer.
The proposed hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Friday and Saturday.
Kyle Lopez, formerly chief operating officer at Stonefire Grill and current owner of Red’s BBQ in Simi Valley, is a co-owner in the venture, according to reporting by the Conejo Valley Guide. Lopez confirmed the forthcoming concept in a message to What Now Los Angeles and shared that they are planning a Q4 opening. Lopez intends to share more information about plans for the concept as they grow closer to opening.
