About Marufuku Ramen
Marufuku Ramen was founded in San Francisco’s Japantown in 2017. The restaurant focuses its menu on classic Hakata-style ramen and its creamy, rich Tonkotsu broth. The broth is slow-cooked for several hours to build up a rich umami taste. The finest quality pork is selected for the Cha-shu, which is added to ultra-thin artisanal noodles, for the restaurant’s signature ramen experience.
Continuing its focus on traditional Japanese cuisine, Marufuku Ramen also offers izakaya-style appetizers along with premium beer and sake. The company has grown from its original home in the Bay Area and now operates in several cities throughout California, Texas, Nevada, and New York.
There were speculations about the restaurant’s expansion in Walnut Creek. The opening will add to the city’s evolving restaurant scene.
