Union Station is switching out one beloved pizza establishment for another. Local juggernaut Andy’s Pizza is slated to take over the Sbarro space in the busy transportation hub, reports Axios DC.

There is not presently a great deal of information available about Andy’s arrival at 50 Massachusetts Ave NE. An opening timeline is not available, however carb lovers will be excited to hear that bagels likely will be; a comment shared on the popular X account @eat_dc shows that Andy’s intends to extend its relatively recent bagel program to this new location.

The news of Andy’s Union Station storefront comes hot on the heels of the beloved chain’s embracing of new innovations. The pizzeria has implemented a custom-designed AI-powered operating system into the restaurant’s day-to-day operations. Customers needn’t worry about losing the human touch-people will still be manning the counter and answering the phone. The technology will be used to aid in things like staffing and timing.

A slice of Andy’s Pizza is sure to make any trip passing through Union Station a little more pleasant. The chain is a DMV staple with 14 locations open across the region. Its recent foray into bagels has been met with open arms, proving the concept has several tricks up its sleeve.
