As initially reported by Columbus Business First, a local Mediterranean eatery is expanding this year. Agape Mediterranean will open a new location in Lewis Center, at 6589 Artesian Run. Co-owner Matt Morrison tells What Now Columbus that he anticipates opening the location some time this fall.

The locally owned eatery started in 2021 and has grown to four restaurants at present. Morrison credits the company’s rapid growth to a few things: the team, community and, of course, the food.

“We have a really good team. And we deliver a great service and product,” Morrison explained. “The word of mouth has been powerful and our customers have given us strong referrals.”

In terms of the menu, as the name suggests, the eatery offers fresh Mediterranean style cuisine like pitas, salads and bowls, and to those base items, customers have the option of adding proteins like gyro meat, Greek chicken, falafel and chicken shawarma. It’s the combination of the fresh selections, price point of $10 or less and fast casual environment that Morrison says keeps customers coming back and often visiting the restaurant more than one time a week.
